1988 Plymouth Reliant review from North America
"Trusty little tank"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Outside of regular maintainance, a thermostat, and worn out shocks nothing yet mechanically. The body is good except a very small ammount of rust and some sun spots on the roof and hood.
General comments?
My grandmother gave me her K-car last august. I drove it back from Indiana to Wisconsin and my girlfriend and I have drivin it every day since. Almost 14000 miles in 3 months. It is kind of like a little cocroach, not the most attractive or agile thing, but it just won't die.
Performance on the K car is so-so to lame. Handeling is okay and acceleration is slow. Its size and lack of blind spots make it increadibally easy to drive and park.
Sometimes I secretly hope the K car will die and give me a reason to buy something nicer, but then I wonder if I could ever find a more reliable used car.
