2003 Nissan Micra SE review from UK and Ireland

Window creaks a bit when you 1st wind it down! Recently developed a rattle under the hood, sounds like a loose exhaust manifold or something, having it looked at next week and fixed under warranty :) stock tyres seem to wear so quickly! My front corners have only done 10K before they needed replacing, but then it is FWD and I do drive rather fast and brake hard.

Amazing performance, gets a lot of power out of that little 1200 engine, beat many boy racers! Love the look on their faces when they realized they've been overtaken by an "old ladies' car"! lol! Acceleration is outstanding, can get mine upto 60 in under 9 seconds easy! They stated on the spec's it took 12 seconds, but that's a load of crap! Top speed is only around 110MPH, but that's plenty lol! Although saying that it seems to glide along at that speed with no probs! no nasty rattling noises or nehting, feels like you're doing a lot less! Road holding is absoulutly amazing, you try and get that back end to let go! corners beutifully! The brakes are unbelievable, never been a fan of ABS, but Nissan have it down to a tee on this car, they have awesome stopping power and you maintain an amazing amount of control under heavy braking conditions! Aborted an over take at 70MPH once, had the brake pedal hard to the floor and swerved back in with absolutely no loss of control! Bad points is there is no room under the hood for any major mods, would love to get a turbo under there, but it'd never fit! Also theres a distinct lack of mods available for this car, K&N do an induction kit for it, but it's real basic and a bit naff! Wish nissian would build a 2 litre RWD 6-speed sport version, but I guess it would never sell lol! Would be a real nice ride if they did though! I'd buy one lol! All in all an ace car, would recommend to anyone! absoulute diamond of a machine ;) go out and buy one now!!!
