1991 Volvo 780 review from North America
"Safe, luxurious, exclusive and good mpg"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing. The previous owner kept it well so at 112k nothing gone wrong, except the AC doesn't blow cold anymore. I had it checked out by a Volvo mechanic and several things need replacements: front bushings (frequent wear of all volvos), rear differential bushings, distributor seals, and the engine mounts (optional).
General comments?
I feel lucky to have gotten a car of this quality with only normal wear & tear. All leather seats original, no cracks on dashboard, headliner intact, paint still shiny, nivomat shocks perfect, cruise works, sunroof glides perfect no leakage; except some lighting/bulbs need to be replaced. I feel lot safer on freeways than my previous civic, faster too cuz it's got the turbo.
