1998 Jeep Wrangler SE review from North America
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Transmission oil leaked at around 60,000 miles.
Gas gauge doesn't work.
General comments?
I love my Wrangler and am very happy with it. It has been very dependable, starts every time, and never behaves strangely, like my previous car (a Saab). I bought this Wrangler used, and the three years I've had the car, have only had to repair a transmission fluid leak. That's it!
The only truly negative feature is the gas mileage - It seems I'm always pumping gas. But it does do much better on the freeway.
It's definitely not a luxury car. It's loud and rough, but I like the ruggedness about it. And it's adorable.
