1999 Lexus LX470 review from Australia and New Zealand
"The best big 4WD family car ever"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Absolutely nothing except for worn front brakepads.
General comments?
I brought this car with me from Australia for my two year stay in UK. This car is a dream come true. It is an eight seater with enough room to very comfortably seat three adults in the back seats and a further two/three kids in the forward facing seats in the "boot" and even some luggage behind them again.
The dual airconditioning and the fridge between the seats are perfect for keeping everyone fresh on long trips even though it is not as warm here in the UK as it is at home in Australia. We have three kids and they have a field day in the big back seat.
This car look massive at first but it is only slightly bigger than my last Range Rover. I adore this car but no car can compete with Jaguar when it comes to status and the "personal" feeling of the car, neither can the LX470 compete with Range Rover although I will probably never switch back.
The visual impact of this car is enormous. People are pointing and turning for second looks and even waiting for us when parked to ask where we got the car from.
