1992 Ford Explorer review from North America
"Cheap, lousy, a disgrace to all Ford Explorers!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Where to begin... Well first the air compressor went the first week we bought the car. Soon after we replaced that, the engine went. The dealership said the they classfied this kind of engine as "Black Death." Okay we got that fixed, everything was going fine until we got to the top of a steep bridge, and the brake cabel snapped. We ended up going down the bridge at 55mph. We also lost the power steering and horn! So we swerve through traffic, ran a red light and smashed into the side of a restaurant! We tried to sell it back, but the dealership said that we are responsible for the damage. So when we found a better offer (a van) we ahd that sucker gone in less than an hour!
General comments?
It can be your friend or your enemy, take your choice. For me, it was my enemy. My big loud red enemy!! Many do have some good qualities... well not mine!
