1994 Acura Integra LS hatchback review from North America
"Never Sell the Integra!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Car had a hard time starting when it was hot - the iginition relay failed at 96,000miles, it was a easy fix, about $150. At 145,000 miles, car completely shut down when I was in the middle of nowhere land while going about 45mph, won't start again. After a 30 mile tow and $300 for a new iginition coil, it was running again. Front rotors need to be surfaced all the time, or else the front brakes will shake during highway speed braking, a typical problem with these small Honda / Acura. Also, tail lights leaks during rain storms, the water leaks down to the spare tire area, must dry it or you'll get mold. Replace your plastic radiator to an after market metal one.
General comments?
A marvelous pratical sporty car. Timeless design, fun to drive, and very reliable, considering it did break down a few times, but I am running up the miles. Car handles very well at all speeds. The manual seats are not comfortable, it is my least favorite part of the car. But overall, it's a fantastic car to own, averages 25mpg local, 31mpg highway.
