1999 Nissan Maxima GLE review from North America
"An expensive lesson on what not to buy"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The "Service Engine Soon" light comes on repeatedly in my 2000 Maxima. I have put in a new air filter, fuel injectors, six engine coils, a new battery, and replaced the wiring harness all over a 12 week period. Over three thousand dollars, and immeasurable inconvenience later, I've had enough.
General comments?
The car was great for almost seven years, fun to drive and extremely comfortable, but this seemingly endless problem has soured me on Nissan. When is Nissan going to take responsibility for this obvious defect and reimburse Maxima owners for these repairs?
