1993 Audi 80 review from UK and Ireland
"Not exciting, but how exciting is schlepping around the M50?"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Reversing lights sporadic in their operation.
Electric antenna has a similar work ethic
(Both these faults simply require effort, an afternoon and the use of Haynes.)
General comments?
Somber, sober and dignified, black on the outside, grey on the inside. Dull looking quality. Something of relief from today's tricked out, pimped up "junior exec" "sports saloons".
A 1.6 and heavy with it, so performance is just about adequate (does not enjoy being thrashed), handles reasonably well though. Interior is as new and indestructible, exterior devoid of rust in the AUDI tradition.
Plenty of room, well screwed together, harsh sounding engine note at motorway speeds. Direct steering, slick gear change.
Do you really need any more? I mean really?
