1996 Mercury Sable GS review from North America
"An outstanding, high quality family car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
"Service engine soon" light kept coming on at random intervals, traced to a bad air charge temperature sensor, a $23.27 part. Ended the problem.
ABS brake light stayed on, due to water in the ABS module. Replaced the entire module under warranty. Ended the problem.
General comments?
This has been the best family car we've ever owned to date! It is very comfortable for a family of 4 on long trips, is very economical with the Vulcan 6 cylinder engine, and has fantastic traction in the snow.
