1977 Oldsmobile 98 Regancy review from North America
"Reliable american power"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Tranny went at 142,000 lost 2nd gear, but drove about 1000 miles and lost 3rd, still had first so I could get it home.
Rear drums cracked, but they were the ones that came on the car in '77.
Carb needs to be junked.
General comments?
This car is NOT quick, but will do 90 if you need to. The ride is excellent, espically for 30 YEAR OLD SHOCKS AND SPRINGS!!! seats are plush and you don't feel anything. Very ROOMY, love it. Like I said its no sports car, but will roast em. Car has towed also 3 cars, 2 dodge daytona's one 30 miles on a blown transmission *look above* with 1st and 3rd. And also towed a 91 GMC jimmy a distance up some mighty hills, you could say this is a truck with a car body. The olds 403 has alotta potential could be turned fast. Would buy another!
