1991 Jeep Cherokee Laredo review from North America
"Very Reliable!!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I hear a noise from the rear, sounds like grinding in the differential case, but not sure. I'm not sure if I need to get a whole new rear end or replace gears. There is also a knocking noise, not pinging, in the engine when in park. I've heard that it might be a bearing or the flywheel, but again I'm not sure. Engine also runs over 210 degrees, but doesn't go into the red, somewhere around 235. I don't know the reason for the engine running hot. I've changed the radiator, sway bar pins, put on new pads and shoes, changed the thermostat. new spark plugs, distributor cap.
One other thing is that I attached the opposite terminals when jumping the battery and the clock, radio, dome lights, and a few other things are not functioning.
Any advice???
General comments?
This car has great acceleration and torque. It has accumulated many miles and hasn't lots much at all.
