1999 Jeep Cherokee sport review from North America
"Great car, great value"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I bought a 1999 Cherokee Sport new and had a few electrical problems from the very start. All corrected under warranty with the exception of the front speakers. Twice installed new, I stopped them from installing new speakers the third time and they fixed "a short." By this time I knew that there was a design problem, but I can't have my speakers serviced as often as I have the oil changed.
I have 155000 miles on it at this point and plan on running the odometer way past 200k. One of these days I'll get around to taking the door panels off and fixing the speakers myself. Neither of the front speakers works at this point, but then I listen to mostly talk radio anyway. Speaker problems are the only problems I've had with this car, and I do pull a boat and take it off road occasionally. Great Vehicle and a great American value!
General comments?
Great car, great value.
