1996 Ford Falcon GLi review from Australia and New Zealand
"Big, solid, reliable, comfortable and quick"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Front and rear suspension needed work; all four shock absorbers replaced.
Rear vision mirror wobbles dreadfully.
Rubber seal around boot and rear door worn badly, need replacing.
General comments?
Engine very powerful.
Uses lot of petrol, think I'll convert to LPG.
Brakes excellent, even without ABS.
Seats seriously comfortable.
Dash design and gauges excellent and easy to read.
Quality of finish far superior to 1991 Commodore.
Left foot rest a bit too small, foot keeps slipping off.
Need colour-coded locking key, keep opening boot by accident!
