2004 Toyota Avanza G review from Indonesia
"An affordable small MPV"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing wrong with the car, only the cabin is quite small.
General comments?
This small MPV was launched to tap to the lower-end of the market. With this in our mind, we have to have a basic understanding that we could not expect too much from this car especially in terms of power and comfort.
The car is OK for an small extended family as it can accommodate a maximum of seven persons. However, with its small engine (1.3 L) and relatively small cabin, one should not expect that it can provide power and a comfortable space for passengers.
Fuel consumption is quite moderate. I tested the car for both intercity and inner-city driving. The results were not dissapointing as it only consumes 1L of petrol for 11kms (inner-city) and 13kms (intercity).
