1988 Dodge Colt review from North America
"After 100000 miles, sell it to the car crusher!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Drivers side window wouldn't roll down 120000 miles.
Needed new front main seal 125000.
Exhaust manifold cracked??? miles.
Front end wore out shortly after purchase.
General comments?
This car was OK and that's all I can say. It is a Mitsubishi car with Dodge emblems on it (bad move IMO Dodge). The car on cold days would have bad spells were the engine would just lose all power and you would have to pull off the side of the road and let it set for a few minutes and It would run fine again for about 10 miles or so. Good thing I wasn't run over! The interior was terrible and the whole car was just falling apart, and I maintain my vehicles well. The front end made terrible noises every time I hit a bump, and if it idled for any longer than 5 minutes it would pour smoke out the exhaust. Man I sure missed my Oldsmobile after owning this Japanese junk.
I was told that these cars were great b/c of the Mitsubishi technology in it. Well, I'm not impressed with Mitsubishi Tech.
