1998 Nissan Maxima SE review from North America
"Takes a beating high speeds and lives"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The auto trans is starting to slip some at take off.
The char. canaster made the engine light come on, but never effected the cars perfromance.
The driver side seat air bag light is on for about 3 years. nissan stated if air bag not replaced they had no clue if the cars other air bags would deploy in a accident.
Leather seats are poorly made and uncomfortable for a guy 6 foot 225 ilbs. leather is hard and cracked.
General comments?
I beat the hell out of this car since I have owned it. I drive 44 miles to work one way and drive at speeds of 80mph to 120 mph. so considering the beating this has taken I rate this car almost a 10..
