1994 Ford Taurus GL review from North America
"One Thing Then Another"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing Major until after 100,000 miles.
At 101,000 Second set of tires third set of brakes.
At 105,000 transmission started to slip between second and third.
At 110,000 dash started to rattle constant due to odd tread wear pattern.
At 125,000 another set of tires corrected the rattle for good.
At 150,000 brakes failed twice causing a accident once the second ran into a tree to avoid head on with semi.
Burns oil constantly all fluids like to leak at good rate.
General comments?
Quite slow off the line.
Never good gas mileage got around 19 mpg about as good as my Grandpas Truck.
Very unreliable.
Anti-Lock Brakes never worked very good.
When I hit the tree there had been a work crew fixing the bridge ahead causing me to have to stop and wait for on coming traffic that's why I swerved off the road when I did the air bags deployed after I had come to a dead stop causing severe neck injury.
I will never buy another Ford product again as long as I am alive.
