1989 Buick Regal limited review from North America
"In its day this car was probably awsome"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
In one month of buying it the head gaskets blew and breaks and rotars needed changing
my fault I pushed the car to its top speed 125 mph never do that. needed a new water pump seal and bearings break and fuel lines. I've blown up 2 catylitic converters with this car also myfault I made the exhaust to open it lost backpreasure and backfired, and it does not like to start wen its really cold I have to buy dry gas once a week or its not going anywhere also I thing it needs a new egr valve.
General comments?
The car is immaculate for its year 1989. on the street I have yet to see a 89 regal that is in better condition than mine all the ones I've seen are rusted from winter road salt. this one has no dings no dents and no body rust AT ALL it's a buffalo car and for how old it is that's unheard of granted I've put more money into it that I payed for it ($2900) the car is a beast, its torch is awsome in low gears even with 4 people in the car I can chirp the tires and the acceleration is still respectable. the v6 in its puts out about 160 hp not bad plus I've modified the intake and exhaust so its prolly at 170 hp right now.not the fastest car on earth, but its pretty quick and responsive and the OHV v6 sounds nice with a decent muffler on the exhaust.
