1995 Mitsubishi Lancer GLXi review from Australia and New Zealand
"Fun and reliable"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Suspension Bushes needed replacing @ 180,000.
Drivers seat starting to tear.
Cluch getting fairly worn.
General comments?
First off, the looks.
It really does not look like a product of 1995, its stylish if a bit conservitive.
Buy a black or red coupe for best results:>
Engine.
Nice, very economical (7L/100km)
fairly revvy, but sounds rather harsh about 4k rpm
With 86kw to move only 950kg its nicely quick
Has a pretty sporty nature and sounds nice if a little loud
it needs about 4000rpm before you get much power though.
Don't ever let it get below 3k or it just won't do anything
id be pretty scared to drive a 1.5L!
Handling.
Good. its suspended pretty hard so you can chuck it into corners quite fast, about 15kph faster than my old car.
Very little body roll too, a real good point.
Interior is nice if a little cheap, comfortable seats..
