2000 Chevrolet Blazer LT review from North America
"Crap"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Bought new off dealer lot
Brake rotors warped within 200 mile of purchase, turned rotors, should have taken the sign and returned the lemon.
Headlight unit filled with water after 1 year, replaced under warranty
Battery after 2.5 years
Oil cooler lines
Ball joints
Both front wheel hubs
Idler pulley
Serpentine belt
Alternator
Rear Diff
Brakes and Rotors all around
New climate control computer
Driver side door hinges twice
Passenger side door molding
Water pump
Driver side leather seats worn after 40k
Tires all around at 55k
Second set of tires at 60k (bad OEM replacements)
Fuel pump and sending unit (not to mention the 16 gallons of gas that disappeared during the tank drop)
On Deck
Heater core leaking
AC needs to be recharged
Front and rear shocks
Paint starting to peel.
And I'm only at 75k.
General comments?
Owned 1989 Blazer before this and drove it into the ground for 180,000 miles with normal wear and tear (tires, brakes, battery). Had to get rid of it because it was rusting away. Not sure this one will "survive" to the rusting stage.
