1994 Nissan Pathfinder EX-V6 review from North America
"Amazing, simply amazing"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Radiator needed to be replaced after 11 years.
Distributor cap, timing belt, shocks, had nasty oil leaks... Aside from normal work (i.e. brakes).
General comments?
This is my first car (handed down from my mom who got a '05 VW Jetta) and runs absolutely fantastic. The car already had 200 K+ miles, and much of it was original. Worse thing that happened was the radiator popped off while climbing up a mountain, causing it to overheat. After replacing the radiator, among other things (overall, $2100 dollars), it runs cooler than my mom's new car.
Shocks have to be replaced and may be expensive, but well worth it. The tires can get out of wack pretty easily, so that might also be a frequent expenditure. I'm having minor electronics problems, mostly with the door sensors, but not much more than that.
Sound system should be replaced, the stock unit, although great back in 1995 started acting buggy and the large speakers were dead. Tweeters still work great.
At 212,800 miles, absolutely no problem with rust or body damage or engine problems. This car is absolutely great and drives nice.
