1969 Chevrolet Impala review from North America
"Personally I love my impala its not a car for nervous drivers"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Carburetor rebuilt
fuel lines from rear wheel to front
carpet
turn signal light bulbs & Fuse
plastic shifter
rear deck lid
post moldings
light body work "surface rust"
General comments?
It's a big car with 235 hp@4800 rpm
power glide transmission
It gets gas mileage like a light truck, but with luxury room and more comfortable then any seats from newer cars.
Great car for customizing you could fight a person behind the dash, six seated comfortably eight if packed, and extremely large trunk
enough room for easy matance
you get respect on the road from everything, but commercial trucks
Faults
no a/c, but has pulley and brackets from one
all around drum brakes
the weight of car cannot be handled properly by stock suspension
hard to find parts for it other than engine
a very wide body on some two lane streets cars have to go on shoulder to pass by.
