1999 Ford Cougar V6 X-pack review from UK and Ireland
"Good fun, great sounding, mile cruncher"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing.
General comments?
Very happy with the car. Not as much fun as my previous Puma however it is very comfy, reasonably quick, engine sounds great and handles very competently. Great on A roads and motorways and better than most on the B roads. Not nearly as expensive to run as I feared. Have driven 25k over 2 years. No breakdowns or problems at all. Only change of tyres was due to puncture. Average 30mph commuting to work. 32-34 MPG in the winter, 34-37 in the summer. Minor service £90ish, major £140ish. Leather, heated seat, heated windscreen/mirrors/washers, CD changer, computer, 4 airbag etc. Lots of car for the money.
