1990 Oldsmobile Calais S review from North America
"For being such a peice of sh*t it can take a beating, but not like a K car."
What things have gone wrong with the car?
CV shafts went out at 115000 miles.
Transmission slips very bad and is about done.
The entire suspension is destroyed.
Exhaust rusted off before the Cat.
Rust has eaten just about the whole car, all outside body panels are mostly gone.
Back seat has fallen down about 3 inches from rust.
Drivers side door was bent all the way forward and pounded back into place with a sledge hammer.
Interior is also destroyed, any moving part inside the car is busted or gone, drivers seat mounts are busted and seat is severley ripped.
General comments?
When I first got the car it had been driving by a older guy who never really used it much.
The car had some rust damage, but nowhere near what it has now.
The car did handle awsome when I first got it, but there is something about a 6'3" 320lb man womping the hell out of it for 6 months that really took its toll on the car.
Now that the exhaust is gone the thing sound like a stock car so i can't drive it around town, but it still works for a good old fashioned mooseyard beat run.
