1990 Mazda MX5 base review from North America
"Sexy reliable pocket 'rocket'"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
- clutch went at 112000 miles
- airco never really worked well, especialy in hot and humid east coast summer
- brakes needed full replacement at 120k miles
- convertible top replaced at 120k.
General comments?
- great handling, spirited car, could have done with more power, but engine loved being revved
- strong body, no flex,
- great steering, turn on a dime
- not much place to store luggage for a long weekend
- a sexy car!
- reliable, got me anywhere, though winter driving can be tricky due to rwd, but that makes the car so much more interesting to me.
