2005 Kia Sedona EX review from North America
"Nice luxury van, but not a reliable source of transportation"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I have owned my 2006 Kia Sedona for two months. I also own a 2001 Kia Sephia. The kia Sedona is the nicest and sportiest van I have ever driven, however I have a story. My van has been in the shop more than I have had it. At 1,900 miles my sedona started making a loud noise under the hood while the engine was running. I took my van in for service and it turns out that the fly wheelhad broken apart. My van spent 15 days at the dealership with the transmission removed waiting for parts from Korea. I got my van back $450.00 dollars in rental cars later. The next week I was driving and the tire pressure monitoring system went out. The van was in another dealership for two days and another $80.00 dollars in rental cars. The van now has 3,207 miles on it and it is being towed back to the dealership for engine failure. Who knows how long it will be in the dealership now. It is scary to let my wife drive this van with our children because it is a very unreliable vehicle.
General comments?
I would not recommend driving a 2006 Kia Sedona more than five miles from home because you never know wwhen it may leave you stranded.
