2006 Volvo XC90 review from Italy
"A pure joy to drive"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing.
General comments?
What a great road car! I bought the US spec XC-90 V8 in Italy and drove it several months before shipping it home. This is the most comfortable vehicle I've ever driven. I experienced no seat fatigue on a 9 hour drive to Munich. The V8 has more than adequate power to pass at European highway speeds over 90 MPH. Acceleration is smooth and confident, the 6-speed transmission is a perfect match for the V8. Handling on wet roads was very stable.
