2002 MG ZR zr review from UK and Ireland
"Troublesome"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Well where do I start well I had a rover 200 before the MG that blew 3 head gaskets also the timing belt snapped that was a genuine rover belt fitted by a rover delership after 10,000 miles it snapped that was the 3rd head gasket and it also bent 4 valves. The last straw with the Rover was when the engine blew up, so I got scrappage of 2,000 euro for the 99 rover and bought a 02 MG ZR now I love the look of the car there really sporty looking, but it's proving to be as much trouble engine wise as the rover. She started over heating which as 9 times out of 10 mean your head gasket is gonna blow so yes my 02 MG ZR is following in the Rovers footsteps also my sunroof is leaking and my heaters don't work properly. On top of all that the tappets are making a really loud noise, but gladly this time I had a one years warranty and the garage are going to fix the lot, but as much as I love the cars looks on the outside I am selling it once the repairs have been carried out.
General comments?
Good handling with the 17" alloys.
Good looking from the outside.
But bad engine's.
