2001 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe review from North America
"Fast hypochondriac"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The display lights on the climate control are so dim I can't read them.
There are way too many random warning lights.
General comments?
My Corvette is a hypochondriac. At least once a week some kind of warning light flashes at me. I even had a low tire pressure light come on. I paged through the screens until I found the individual tire pressures and found that indeed one tire was very low. I immediately pulled over when the "Service Tire Monitor" light came on. I think the car was laughing at me, the tires were fine.
The gas mileage is actually decent for a car with such a big motor. I get 34 on the highway in 6th. My average stays around 22-24, depending on how bad the kids in the imports with the big spoilers bug me at the stoplight.
