1985 Mercedes-Benz 190 review from Norway
"OK car, decent performance and good value for money"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Rubber bushings for the back suspension worn out
Gearbox mounts worn out
clutch/thrust bearing wore out
Back window self-destructed.
General comments?
As long as I had the car, it proved to be very reliable, with satisfying performance. The rubber bushings for the back suspension was worn out, making the car make "fishtail" and shake its behind at certain speeds and road conditions. The read mount for the gearbox was also worn out so the gear box was hanging low, making gearshifts a little tricky. It was generally worn, but nothing unexpected for a 20 year old car. No serious rust. The back window self-destructed on this car, I have no idea how that happened. I had parked the car to go in a gas station, when I came back out the glass was gone white... I finally got rid of it when the thrust bearing for the clutch seized up, I just didn't bother fixing it.
