2001 Ford F350 Lariat review from North America
"Would by another if they could improve reliability"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Bad glow plug. Replaced under warranty.
Glow plug controller failed. Replaced under warranty.
Glow plug controller failed again.
Driver leather seat cover wore prematurely. Replaced under warranty.
Front seat belt latch failed. Replaced/factory recall.
Three of four power door locks failed in power mode. Work OK in manual operation.
General comments?
Tows a four horse goose-neck very well.
Ride is not bad for a one ton diesel.
Interior still relatively tight after 85,000 miles. No annoying rattles.
Glow plug system problems are serious in the winter.
Power door locks have the same reliability as my Mazda 626 (with 210,000 miles on it).
