1995 Acura Integra LS Special Edition review from North America
"Solid Economic Performance"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Radiator leak (replaced) at 70,000 miles.
Miscelleaneous rattles at 80,000 miles and on.
General comments?
1.8L 5-Speed Manual, LS Special Edition 4-Door.
This is a great car. The dependability and performance are what really do it for me. I run this car pretty hard, hitting 5,000+ RPM regularly, and have had almost no problems. Gas mileage is good, I average 22-26 MPG with VERY inefficient driving.
The Integra's got some kick to it. She sits lower (I have to take steep driveways at an angle to not scrape--Not lowered, all factory) and starts to go at about 3,500 RPM. Unfortunately there is not a whole lot of power before 3,500 RPM. Suspension and Michelin tires make for great cornering.
No BMW, by any means, as far as performance and MAINTENANCE go. This car is not going to cost you an arm and leg, but is going to provide an additional amount of performance over a basic compact.
I like performance, but I am not ready to spend a lot of money to get it. This car is a great fit.
