1998 Dodge Ram Pickup Laramie SLT review from North America
"This is a git-r-done truck, if you can't Dodge it, Ram it!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Transmission shifts a little rough.
Seatbelts don't retract correctly - a small problem.
Clatters when running on regular unleaded, but tears up the road on mid-grade.
A little slack in the steering.
Rear end has a little whine too it.
Not bad for a truck with 142000 miles.
General comments?
This is a great truck... I owned a 97 Chevy 1500 before, and this Ram 2500 makes it look bad all around. It is beefy strong and intelligently designed to be driver friendly. The 2500 suspension can take anything put on it and barely even squats. Dodge knocked a home run and created a truck that not only performs, but looks great... I have a grille guard and big tires, and believe me, my Dodge is the ram-bo of the road.
For a big truck, I have no complaints on the ride, overall steering and handling of my Ram.
Ford and Chevy just wished they had the assets my 1998 Dodge Ram 2500 Laramie SLT does.. keep dreaming guys.
