1988 Mercury Tracer review from North America
"An American car with japanese reliability"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Had to replace fuel tank because it was leeking fuel. Coolant was leaking inside; turned up to be a leaking water pump. The dealership mechanics couldn't figure that out. Distributor went bad, with the car shutting off, most often on the highway. After cooloing off it would start and be driveable again. Had to replace it.
General comments?
A great car.
