2003 Ford Escort zx2 review from North America
"It's a Cool Car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The Car Surges during acceleration, including during passing, It started doing it within 3 months of owning it. No error codes come up on the computer at the dealer, Ford acknowledges the surge and there answer is this is "Normal Operation" for this car. It's been back to the dealer multiple times and the dealer told Me to give Ford some time to come up with a fix, they usually do over time, Now the car is out of Warranty and it's still not fixed. The dealer told Me Ford had a buy back program and this car should fall under that catagory, I contacted Ford and they say it's not a Hazard, so it doesn't fall under that catagory. If someone can tell Me how to fix the car, I'd love to fix it, Other than the surging, I love the car.
