1990 Chevrolet Lumina apv review from North America
"Excellent minivan"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
When we bought out minivan, the heating coil was broken. Now it's 2006 and it went again. $110 at scrap yard.
Wiper motor on back hatch broke. The the lock stopped working.
Window control switch on passenger side went. Not expensive at the scrap yard.
Husband got pissed off and kicked the door and screwed up the hinge. It cost us $10 to fix it.
Engine bolt snapped and dropped the engine and disconnected the steering column. Thank god my husband was just pulling into the driveway, so he was going slow. Our mechanic says it's worth the $200 to fix it. Then we can sell it or keep driving it.
General comments?
Great family minivan. We have 3 kids ages 8, 12, 14, and it's nice to go on drives and not hear them gripping to sit next to the window, not sitting next to each other, etc. Lots of room for kids, dogs, renovation materials, etc.
This minivan cost us $800 and has been well worth the money. It just finally died on us and the engine has 350 000 kilometers on it.
