2001 Ford Mondeo Ghia review from UK and Ireland
"Not a bad car compared to other in its class"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Bought the car last year, 6 disk stereo has how broke, it doesn't like playing new cd's. Front driver’s door leaks water when it rains. Rear passenger door sounds like it isn't closed when on a motorway. Engine knocks a lot when using lower quality fuel, I now only use bp ultimate diesel. Running costs seem very high considering most of the mileage is motorway driving. Hand brake is not releasing correctly (on passenger side). Brakes are very much hit and miss and the led bulbs in the dashboard keep failing.
General comments?
The mondeo is generally not a bad car to drive. It does feel hard work sometimes, but the car is over 5 years old so I can't moan too much. The inside is very good value for money compared to other cars in this category i.e. the Vauxhall vetra and it looks quite good as well.
