1990 Volvo 740 GL Wagon review from North America
"Safe, reliable, plenty of room for cargo, an all around good car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
So far I've replaced the rear muffler and tail pipe, distributor cap and rotor, basic tune up parts.
Also replaced the factory stereo with an aftermarket mp3/cd because of no sound from right side speakers.
Replaced both license plate bulbs, bad. Replaced R/H halogen headlight bulb.
Replaced spark plugs with Bosch platinums and run quaker state 10/30 with fram filters.
Replaced AC compressor belt and alternator belt.. both were in bad shape.
General comments?
This is a great riding car for long road trips.
It lacks cup holders and the interior is somewhat retro.
The engine is underpowered for a car so heavy. Get a Turbo model!
For a car over 15 years old, it provides me with safe and reliable transportation.
