2002 Ford Escape XLT review from North America
"Will never buy another Ford"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
A recurring theme: the transmission has failed -- at 85,000 km.
General comments?
Almost lost my life on the highway when the front end locked up at 110 km an hour. Northern Alberta dealer is now refusing to do anything about this because it is beyond warranty. He's hiding behind "servicing" requirements. I'm facing a $3,000 bill for something that sounds like Ford should be recalling and repairing. Someone will die in this vehicle when it goes end over end. Can anyone spell class-action suit?
