1987 Mitsubishi Magna SE review from Australia and New Zealand
"Great car, but not a race car!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
When first aquired:
Water pump belt needed replacement $70.00.
Driveshaft cam wheel needed replacement $50.00 from wrecker. $100.00 labor.
Front engine mount replaced. $95.00.
Gearbox oil service $90.00. NOTE IF YOUR GEARBOX FEELS LIKE ITS PLAYING UP. JUST REPLACE THE OIL BY A PROFFESSIONAL. MAKE SURE THEY USE OIL FOR THIS MAGNA ONLY NOT ANY OTHER VEHICLE. ITS NOT DEXTRON OIL. ITS SPECIALLY MADE FOR THIS CAR AND EXPENSIVE OIL.
At 131000kms.
Replaced front brake pads myself $35.00
Replaced battery $130.
REMEMBER TO CHANGE ENGINE OIL&FILTER REGUARLY.
General comments?
Great car to drive with heaps of room and very very soft steering.
I service it every 3000kms cos it costs me $35.00.
Please drive this vehicle in a light manner if you want less problems, its delicate.
