2004 Hummer H2 review from North America

I purchase this hummer with 36000 miles on it

When I bought it the drivers side mirror did not power fold. Since then I went to a local store and came out I started the car and drove off the tranny shifted into 2nd hard and would not shift back into first. My check engine light came on and turned out to be a tranny code plus four others. I took it into the dealership and the problem turned out to be a faulty ignition switch. They replaced that and now the security light stays on. There is no codes at all. The service guy says that that is one of the common problems. It might cause the speedo and other guages to act funny, so far no problems with any guages. The price to fix the ig switch was 281.00 the price to fix the light issue depends on the manufacture of the guages. he said between 250.00 and 600.00. Other than those issues I am happy with the car. I found a mirror on ebay for 165.00 and replaced it myself fo zero labor in about 30 minutes. If the dealership did it it would have been 460.00 I did not buy the hummer for fuel economy so we all know it sux. I love it and wiould buy another one in a heartbeat. One more plus is the tax break!!! Whether use have a comm vehical or not the tax break is huge.

The car drives smooth and I have had it off roading several times and no problems. I will be driving it 1500 miles in a few weeks so I will let you know how the trip went.
