1999 Buick LeSabre Limited review from North America

Intake manifold gasket blew out at around 160k miles. Absolutely nothing else other than that except routine maint.

I'm truly stunned to read of all these positively terrible ratings of the '99 Lesabre. I've owned my Lesabre Limited for almost 6 years (from 2001 to present), and in this time, I've put 155,900 miles on the car (now at 182k). I've driven this car from California to New York, Florida, and everywhere in between. I've pounded it to the ground in Los Angeles traffic, and I literally have had not one problem with fit, finish or mechanical items inside, outside, or under the hood of this vehicle, with the exception of having the intake gasket blow around 160,000--and I was only charged $800 at the Buick dealer to have it repaired (others here have mentioned over $2000, which I can't even imagine). Other than brakes, tires, a few light bulbs, and oil changes, not one thing has happened to this car. It's in excellent condition inside and out, and literally looks brand new--AND THIS IS WITH HONESTLY VERY LITTLE UPKEEP. Heck, the car still has the orignial battery from 7 years ago.

I'm not sure what to say about the unfortunate experience of all others on here. My last car was a 1993 Lesabre custom, and I put 244,000 miles on it by the time of trade-in, all with the very same experiences--excellent vehicle. I'd buy another of these any day!
