1999 Oldsmobile Alero GLS review from North America
"Any car will always have trouble"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
When I first bought the car, the intake manifold was leaking. Thankfully I got it back to the used car dealership and they fixed this for free. Since then it has been nothing, but oil changes. I do need to fix the front wheel sensor (which I damaged driving through 2 feet of water) this will cost $400 with labor. I also need to fix the drivers side power window (this will cost $300 according to others on this site). That's about $700. I can live with that per year of service. I think you must expect to make repairs to a car or your just silly. I take good care, and get it checked every oil change every 3000 miles. I think I got lucky because the engine manifold was repaired under warranty.
General comments?
I have owed this car for a year and less than 15k miles. So far I will need to make $700 on repairs. I hope next year will be better, but only time can tell. Heres to hoping that I take good care of it, and it will last me through my 3 more years of car payments I need to make. *only $170 a month:)
