2000 Lincoln LS review from North America
"This vehicle is not dependable and will cost you much money"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Yesterday, my wife went to roll down the driver side window and the regulator broke and the window dropped all the way down and could not be put back up. No telling what this is going to cost to fix. I am attempting to do it myself since the dealer is so expensive.
Also, my check engine light has come on several times. I had it checked at the auto parts store and they tell me that it is misfiring in cylinder 6. The light comes on and goes off every week or so.
I went to push the mileage reset button the other day and the switch broke inside the dash. I had to pull it out and crazy glue it back in.
Above and beyond all that, if this car sits for more tham 15 minutes not running, when I go to start it, it has to turn over for about 10 seconds (long time) before it starts. When it does start, you can smell gasoline strong like it is loading up (flooding).
I think Ford should have a recall on these vehicles, but if they did, they would be closer to bankruptcy than they are right now.
My advice - DO NOT BUY A LINCOLN LS!
General comments?
It is hard to focus on the good through all the bad.
