1994 Chevrolet Cavalier 4 door review from North America

Flasher needed to be replaced.

Serpentine belt tensioner. Also the belt (general maintenance)

Oil change and filter.

Power steering fluid needs to be changed.

Front wheel bearings (Fixed right before I bought it)

This seems to be a very reliable car so far. It has started every time, and has never failed me. The only problem with the car that I would have to complain about is the alternator, water pump, and basically everything in the serpentine belt system seems prone to breaking. I know before I got my car the water pump was replaced, I replaced the belt tensioner, and I'm guessing the alternator or the starter is going to go soon. This car would be very well suited for a handyman, as it is easy to fix in most cases. I've pumped 300 dollars in repairs so far. Good car, terrible service. The guys at GM all suck. Just terrible service. I found that toyota had 100 times better service than what GM had. They sold me 2 defective flashers and when I took my car in for them to fix it because I thought that there couldve been a bigger problem because the new ones I put in didn't work. So the mechanic put in a new flasher, and wanted me to pay 50 dollars for it (he didn't even put the splash panel back on!!)!!! give your customers some better service. The guy was also rude too, and wouldn't even explain to me what they did to my car when I asked. I'm not taking my car to GM again because of their bad public relations. I asked them to wash and vacuum out my car too, but they only washed it and never vacumed it (this was on a different occasion). good seats in it though. I get about 30- 34 mpg highway when going 85km/h, and better mileage on higher octane gas. I'm pleased with it so far and would recommend it to anyone.
