2020 Volvo S60 T5 Inscription AWD 2.0 turbo gasoline

Summary:

A great sedan!

Faults:

Leakage of an air conditioning hose. Changed under warranty by the dealer.

General Comments:

Beautiful design, very well equipped, comfortable and fun to drive. Almost no turbo lag, good acceleration. Relaxed drive on long trips thanks to the adaptive cruise control and semi-autonomous driving.

The iPad like screen and everything that is controlled via that screen becomes second nature after a few days. It has been criticized by many reviewers, but I feel it can be learned easily. Apple Car Play (and Android auto), heated and vented seats, heated steering wheel, directional lights, great seats, and many more features make me feel pampered by my car.

I've driven it only 8,000 kilometers so far, so I canĀ“t speak of reliability. Up to now it had only one issue (leaking air conditioning system hose) that was promptly repaired, but unexpected coming from many years of Lexus ownership.

Even though it is not a sports sedan, it is fun and a pleasure on the open road. I'm always looking forward to driving it.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

One year and 9,000 km (now 17,000 km) later I love this car. I haven't driven it much in one year, but I enjoy it every time. After the air conditioning gas hose failure that I reported before, everything has worked flawlessly and the car keeps surprising me every time I drive it. I still discover little clever things that make my life easier when I drive it. The engine by now feels revving more freely and I don't perceive the turbo lag that must be there somewhere. The suspension in this T5 Inscription has a perfect balance between comfort and sportiness. The features that I like the most in this car are the semi-autonomous driving coupled with the adaptive cruise control. This is a glimpse of the future. It makes driving on the open road even a greater pleasure. Coming from Lexus I didn't know what to expect, but so far this car has convinced me.

The fact that the Chinese now own Volvo has turned out to be a positive. Ford ownership turned out to be a disaster.

Here the original reviewer again. Almost exactly two years later and at 26.000 km the car has been flawless and a joy to drive. I still discover little things it does for me to make my life easier. I know I haven't driven it much, but so far so good. I couldn't be happier with my S60.

The original reviewer again, exactly one year later. Loving the car. At 37.000 km now and looking and driving like new. In the last year it needed both batteries to be changed. Fun to drive and a nice place to be in. Starting to think that in the not so far future I may want a new car, but at this point I don't see a car in the local market (Chile) that would be a candidate to replace my S60. Maybe I'll keep it for a few more years.
