1966 Chevrolet Suburban C-10 292 Inline 6

Summary:

Survivor

Faults:

This vehicle was abandoned in the woods for about 30 years, and needs a complete restoration.

General Comments:

This vehicle was built in Baltimore, MD around October of 1965, and was originally used by the United States Army.

It was found stuck in the mud in the woods near Dothan, Alabama by the person I purchased it from. It was mostly complete, except for the radiator.

I purchased it for $600, and had the 292 inline 6 running within a short time. It runs very well, but it does burn some oil.

I've been gradually obtaining the necessary parts to get this vehicle back on the road. Fortunately, most parts are the same as the Chevrolet trucks of the era, and they are easy to find.
