2006 Chevrolet Tahoe LT 4x4 5.3 Vortec

Summary:

A reliable and powerful daily driver

Faults:

I expect more 'regular maintenance' on a truck with this many miles. That said the things I'd consider repairs include; new radiator, new water pump, and new oil pressure sending unit.

I have an issue with what I assume is bad wiring or a bad sensor where the backlit cluster and radio text will black out completely. A light 'Fonz' (slap) on the dash puts them back on; this happens about twice a month.

Overall little maintenance considering the distance it's gone. Sticky starter motor that I have neglected being the worst of it.

General Comments:

Spacious without being too large to maneuver, a capable light to moderate off-roader. And one of the best vehicles I could recommend to nearly any type of person.

A reliable SUV with space to move tools, children, or your outdoor gear. The Tahoe has something to offer everyone. With a far more than adequate amount of power, high ride height, and good weight distribution this has been a life saver in the rough midwestern Canadian winters. My next vehicle will be another early 2000's Chevrolet.

2006 Chevrolet Tahoe Z71 5.3 V8

Summary:

It's the perfect SUV

Faults:

It was too small, and didn't have 4 wheel drive.

General Comments:

The dealer didn't have the exact truck I wanted at the dealership, so they got on their computers for me and located one right away. I was even able to read a review from the previous owner about the car.

Within about two or three days, the Tahoe I picked out was at the dealership. I got to compare it to the review and make sure that it was the same Tahoe I wanted. I took it for a test drive and that was that.

The car is big and fast, it's just a beast. I love it.
