2010 Chevrolet Traverse 3.6
Perfect for us
I didn’t quite realize on the test drive just how high up this crossover SUV is. Living with it every day, I really have to haul myself up into it.
We also considered the Chevrolet Equinox, but felt that it was too small for our needs. In comparison, the Traverse LT1 that we purchased felt safer, heavier, roomier and comfortable.
This is a solid feeling vehicle. We’ve found it to be quite good in the snow, and have transported a full-sized refrigerator in the back with the rear seats down.
We use an independent shop to service the vehicle and have never used the dealer service department. I am aware that there are recalls on the seat belts and air bags, but have not dealt with that yet. I have experience no issues as a result, but plan on addressing that soon.
Obviously, we haven’t put a lot of miles on it. That’s because we use a company vehicle on a daily basis and this is our personal vehicle. Other than around-town driving, we have taken it for a few long-distance drives, and always came away remarking how comfortable it was.
Mileage is what I’d expect from a vehicle this size.
